Return to the Balkans

We are planning a Return to the Balkans in 2027, shaped by the responses we receive through the Return to the Balkans Survey, which closes on 1 April 2026. At this time, we do not yet know how many Balkan Veterans and family members would be interested in participating. Based on the survey results, we aim to organize several tours between June and September 2027. Each tour will accommodate 20 to 50 participants and run for eight to 10 days. Groups will be organized by shared interests or service history, including mission-specific tours such as Kosovo.

Are you willing to be a Mental Health Advocate for your Tour? *

* This will involve a day of Mental Health Training prior to departure and facilitating a Peer Support group meeting after all participants have arrived in the Balkans and one day before the final departure returning to Canada. It is anticipated that returning to the Balkans will impact everyone in different ways. One aim is to have basic Mental Health and Peer Support in place so that we can assist each other.
