In June 1994, elements of the 1 PPCLI) were deployed to Croatia as part of Operation Harmony, a United Nations peacekeeping mission in Yugoslavia. This deployment was a significant event for the battalion, as they were serving as part of the United Nations Protection Force (UNPROFOR) at the time.
