Major Pat Henneberry (Retired) was an unarmed United Nations Military Observer in the Sarajevo area for seven months in 1992-1993. He describes the experience of being ambushed as "probably the most bizarre, elongated event of my entire tour." This is an excerpt from his full-length oral history interview for the Balkans 35th Commemoration project.
